Autumnal Produce

Today I learned that one of my favorite childhood fruits, the kaki, is a fall fruit. Nothing better than eating kaki after kaki on an autumn sunday.

  1. These are the same things as persimmons, yes? That's the only name I know them by. Actually, I didn't have my first taste of the fruit until this fall - it's delicious, though I can't eat too many of them at one time.

  5. How do you prepare them? I've always wondered. Do you bake them? Or eat the raw? The color is just gorgeous!

  6. Mary Jo, I just peel them and eat them raw, but I'm sure you can do more with them. I know my grandma makes cookies out of them =)
