Highlights:
- Jovanna showing me some of her favorite spots: Dockweiler Beach in Playa del Rey and Native Foods in Culver City. Sometimes I need a city fix, though the beach was as serene as ever. The sun and ocean air can make you too hungry to even consider taking a premeal photo.
-Knee deep into 5k training, too late to turn back. I talk like it's a marathon, but it's a big deal for me! I never played sports as a kid, so why would I run more than the one mile required in PE class?
- Time spent outside with my pup and family
-Time for reading

Good for you running a 5K! In high school, I'd get stomach cramps running just 1/4 mile around the track. I swore I'd never be a runner. I would have never guessed that 5K would be my standard run and that I would have done a half marathon. Sometimes it's great to push yourself. And what are you reading now? Anything good?
ReplyDelete5k as a standard run...i can't fathom that yet! i'm still working on the new murakami and hemingway's "a moveable feast" :)
DeleteI totally agree with Brandi. I love running though. Good for you, darling!
ReplyDeletethanks, ana!
DeleteYum, love Native Foods! Good for you on the training--wow, I am proud of myself for just starting to think about taking a class from katie, haha...
ReplyDeletexo Mary Jo
thinking about it is the first step, right? :)
DeleteYou can do it, would love a morning training jog with you. You know how much I run and I just can't imagine myself running in any sort of organized marathon, how short or long-weird huh?
ReplyDeletewhoa, i grew up swimming at dockweiler beach... your picture is a nice memory of it! thanks
