Bodega Bay

Initially our July goal was to do Big Sur, but during peak summer travel season, it's too hard to book a room at the last minute, so we had to explore other options. This brought us north to the seaside town of Bodega Bay. I have a new place to love now. Because I didn't do any pre-trip research, I wasn't sure of anything like what are the major must sees and must eats and all of that, but it all fell into place naturally, so much so that I want to make it a point to keep going back in the future.

While I often complain about the cold, I always love a good foggy adventure...

This particular trail was the "bird walk."

Fun fact I learned upon arrival: "The Birds" was filmed here!

So blustery and cold, but worth it...

  1. The fog in Bodega Bay is so beautiful and calming, it's like it should be there, so it's ok. We went there on part of a camping in California adventure, but I thought it was going to be our sunny beach destination : ) I can't wait to hear more about this trip, long overdue for a catch up.
